Tichina Arnold & Her Simple Wedding Request – “Good Friends, Good Food, Good Fun!”

Nowadays it is very common to see a ‘platinum wedding’, all the bells whistles and crystal that money can buy. Folks spend tens of thousands of dollars on a wedding only to end up in divorce court weeks later…. I ain’t calling no (uhmmm OCHOCINCO) names here– sorry, I just couldn’t resist. Anywho, the point is, its rare to see a simple down home wedding anymore. ESPECIALLY from a celebrity.

When ESSENCE released the pictures of Tichina Arnold’s wedding we were a bit shocked with how simple it was. Not shocked in a bad way mind you, it was a very pleasant surprise. We are always overjoyed to see couples focus on the ceremony and the relationship over the pomp and circumstance. Arnold stated in the interview that she wanted to forego some of the traditional wedding hoopla like the ‘white wedding dress’ and focus on things that were reflective of the couple such as “good friends, good food and good fun”. Well HOT damn, sounds like my kind of shin dig! Did yall see my girl ‘backing it up’ on her new hubby? Rico Hines betta watch out! A big CONGRATS to the new couple from #TeamBLF!
