Which Is More Important: Material Possessions Or A Healthier Life?
Everyday I hear people speak about random trivial information, but far less often I hear those same folks speak about a fitness routine. Honestly, its very hard work and while we all want the results, many of us aren’t willing to do the work. Sadly, there is no quick fix for a healthier YOU!
Women always want to lose that last 5 or 10 lbs to fit into the dress, and men stress about wanting to walk around in the summer with no shirt on. But it often seems that priorities may be a misfit. I will never forget what a client told me about his diet “Well, Ochocinco said that you can eat whatever you want as long as you workout!” Well, you my fine sir are NOT Ochocinco. Ochocinco is a professional athlete and there is no comparison between your metabolism and his.
Ladies and gentlemen it is time to shift our mentality of thinking that clothes make the person when it’s the person that makes the clothes. The beer belly aka visceral layer of fat that won’t go away because you continue to drink in your cool outfits when you go out WELL that is apart of diet. Ladies the thickness that you so desperately want to preserve that comes with a lot of underlying health issues that you just continue to ignore. When will you wake up and realize that you can’t take these possessions with you?
Don’t wait for a doctor to tell you that something life threatening will occur if you don’t make some serious lifestyle changes. You only have ONE BODY and ONE LIFE! The clothes make you look good on the outside but how do you REALLY feel on the inside? Ask yourself these questions and decide which is more important: Will you feel better about yourself when you lose that 5-10 lbs? Will you be happy when nice weather rolls around and everyone compliments you about how great you look and start to ask you what did you do to accomplish that goal? Or will you be the person that shows off your cute heels or nice sneakers that match your outfit with high cholesterol and on the verge of becoming pre-diabetic.
Wake up and really evaluate what you’re doing because at the end of the day you need to take care of your body because health care isn’t cheap and starting an exercise routine can prevent a lot of sickness and other health problems if you just take the initiative and stop procrastinating.
